This photo is but a collection of face mask made for 2 year olds to adults.
Like the Coat of Many Colors, I too can tell a story for each mask.
The making of mask started with my family, church family, neighbors, and the Fair Haven community.
The need for masks increased with the concerns for keeping safe. Requests came from people we had
never met and even people from out of state.
The repetition of measuring, cutting, pinning and stitching made an eight hour day. My cutting
board is permanently groved with the mask measurents.
The need for more masks led my husband Mike and daughter Kathleen to assist. Kathleen posted on Facebook and more requests came. All orders were bagged, labeled and hung on a mini clothes line for pick up.
We so appreciated the personal notes of "Thanks" and a Seed of Happiness. Donations were left towards expenses. I appreciated the "angels" who dropped off pins, thread and elastic.
We responded to others and their needs just as our parents had.
You use your skills and talents and share from your heart.
The community of Fair Haven is such an amazing place. The novel material I used...Bob the Builder, fire trucks, abc's, dogs, farm animals, sea life, construction workers, baseball, soccer, hearts and flowers and more put a smile on the face of the person who wore it and a smile to the many people who saw it!
The community of Fair Haven is made up of amazing people. This is our forever normal.
